UN human rights chief Michelle Bachelet presented Bahraini activist and digital security consultant Mohammed Al-Maskati with an award at an event in Tunis on Wednesday. Al-Maskati was named by Access Now as one of this year’s recipients of its Human Rights Heroes Award. The NGO hands out the award every year to celebrate “heroes of human rights in the digital age”. “Those who have worked with Al-Maskati credit him for not only keeping their information secure, but in several cases of actually saving lives through his interventions,” Access Now stated. Al-Maskati is also the founder of the Bahrain Youth Society for Human Rights (BYSHR) and has been active in documenting and reporting violations by authorities in Manama. عدد المشاهدات: 22 Share 0 Tweet 0 Share 0
